To all the people who'll answer the USA...if the USA is such a fracking threat then why in the fu*k isnt it bombing people to hell with abandon (all I see is Iraq, and most of the meyhem is caused by them Islamists). It has had the capability to do so for years and it never did. I'll say this: The USA isnt perfect (and lately its been going bad in my opinion)...but if it has been able to restrain itself for years from nuking all its enemies...then it isnt a threat...or at least a threat to World peace.
Honestly the greatest threat to world peace for the moment is Islamist freaks like Osama and Fiends. They and their evil Wahabbist Islam are far more foul and unholy than any Zionist plan or even Communism (though these are also horrible and cruel).

An country who wants to destabilize the world economy to advance their religion. Remember Germany in WWII? We didn't want to get in it and we paid a high price. The good thing is that came out on top. The problem we are facing is that the Islamic facists are using their religion to control their people by violence and they are using the tactics that were used against us in Vietnam. They use the peple as human sheilds and use deaths as propoganda. If we really wanted the Middle East to submit to the western will, we would just bomb them into submission. I have no doubt in my head that they would do the same to us if they could. They don't care about collarteral damage unless it can be used by them to stir up sympathy. At least we do care from what I have seen, because we could have done more damage to Iraq than what we did if we wanted to conquer them. That also goes for the whole Middle East. I'm an American and damn proud of it.

The greatest threat to the world is a list that starts with incompetence. Radical Fundamentalist who turn a somewhat peaceful religion into a "nationalism" machine for religion, and teach people that its best to kill your neighbor if he does not agree with you... Incompetence. The UN and its lack of enforcement in keeping rouge nations (like WW2 Axis Powers) and political parties (like the Nazis) from ever coming to power...now its North Korea, Iran, Hezbollah, etc. which shows the UN's Incompetence. The USA is considered a villian in all of this, however, IF the USA was incompetent, it would not attempt to strike key facilities, and minimize deaths of the innocent. Instead, the USA would just start lobbing missiles and bombs into the area, kinda like Hezbollah who is also clearly incompetent. If the USA really wanted to, it could turn the battlefield into a smoking nuclear crater, but the USA isn't incompetent, and thinks of its options as well as its final results. You have a choice, either you can fight incompetence with incompetence, like the UN... or you can stand up and fight to eliminate the incompetence, like the USA.
I am proud to be an American, where at least I know I'll win!

Extremism & religious disharmony is the greatist threat to the world peace, I believe these are the products of the inactiveness & weakness of UN to address & resolve the core issues & root causes of the conflicts between countries & nations.
However, US & Europe being the super powers of today's world are under liability to resolve these issues & causes justly. Failure to resolve these issues is no more an option.
