when you want to know about Islam , whom do you ask ?
I noticed that many people from other religions speak in the name of islam , they make many mistakes , omitt some facts and add some from I don't know where .
Isn't it just rational to follow the rule that says : If you don't know about something ask for knowledge from some one who knows ?

The best way is to read the books on the subject (though books are also written with writers inclination to one side or the other and you can hardly find a book written in neutral spectrum).

After reading the books on one topic from all the factions, you will be able to evaluate the truth (his story, my story and THE story phenomenon) and that will actually help you understand Islam; or any religion for that matter.

Good luck!!!

The answer to your question is every practicing Muslim ! well prophet muhammed commanded Muslims to do what he did that is preach and spread Islam (this means Muslims should know well enough about their religion)

I agree with what you say, there are Islamic scholars who are Jewish and christian there motive is to find fault and make divisions in Islam.

Normally I advice people to read for themselves from quran and hadeth then to ask the local imam in the mosque for guidance

"Just me" illustrates your point perfectly. He is a victim of lies begetting lies, and unfortunately, he mistook it for truth.

Before clicking on your question, my first thought was, "a Muslim." Either a learned Muslim, or a very learned non-Muslim who does hate Islam, is qualified to answer questions about Islam. I'm not a Muslim but have answered many a question about Islam. However, I've done lots of reading about Islam, and have asked Muslim friends many questions, and really listened to their answers.

So who would be one who knows. I suspect that you would need to go to the sources, reading the book, hearing the Imams. And listening to the critics.

i would talk to someone who follows the Islam faith....bc often ppl give their perspective on what they have been told to believe and what they have heard from inaccurate sources...

islam is a religion of lies, and intolerance.

i wouldn't ask a cleric because i would be shot. plus they would slit my throat if i didn't convert right on the spot.
