Maybe your cat is jealous of the affection that the other cat is showing you and your cat probably wants attention. Just make sure you are giving each of your cats equal affection.

Did you make the introduction to the new cat slowly? You should allow them time to become used to the new scents of each other. You should isolate the new cat for a day or two in one room with a litter tray and food and water. Then start swapping them over, old cat goes in for a while so he can sniff around where the other cat's been without seeing it and the new cat can explore it's new home and get used to the scent of the other cat. They will start getting curious of each other and looking under the door, then you can start leaving them out together. If you haven't done this, then start again. Take the new cat away into a room on it's own with a closed door, if you can't do that, then a large crate will be ok but don't leave it in there for long periods.

Always, when you do anything, put the old cat first. First to get petted, first to get their food put down, etc.

the angry cat is probably a bit jealous when he sees the other cat take up the opportunity to be more affectionate. Try to give each cat equal love. Go up to the angry cat and pet it often.
Buy the angry cat a cheap cat toy and walmart and give it to him or her and the cat will know that you still do care!

I dont have an answer to this but from experience i know what not to do. I had a cat that I adored. The cat was spoiled rotten. one day I was at my desk doing some paperwork and the cat kept jumping on the desk and sitting right on my work that I was doing. I moved him off my paperwork and he bit me and it was like to the bone....well my automatic reaction was to knock the helll out of him and I did. It wasnt on purpose but it hurt badly, very bad.! Well my cat ran away...never came back!!! I felt so guilty!!!

Make sure it has plenty of attention, its own litter tray and food bowl etc. Also try to give it a 'private' place like on a cupboard that the other one can't get to or something. It'll calm down soon.

Show it that you still love it as it thinks that you love this other cat more. Cats too get jealous you know.

Show the angry one more love and affection; he feels unloved, and we all know how awful that feels. Give him morsels of special food, and toys, and talk to him.
