well it is very simple. a *.bin file is a image of a cd...and many games are uploaded tht way on torrent networks as well as irc networks etc.

there r many programmes tht will do the trick. i use a very simple one called "extract now".. there shuld be a .CUE file with da bin file...they always come in pairs...(at least thts wht ive experienced..) ...download da software from www.downloads.com and u simply drag da bin file into da programme and let it extract the files...(da cue file genrally shuld be in da same folder as da bin file)...

if u have trouble finding da software lemme know coz i can send u a link when i get home...im not sure of da exact version...but its a free application...called ExtractNow or somethin of da sort...

A long time ago, .bin indicated MacBinary files. MacBinary is pretty much long dead (even deader than .hqx), so that's probably not it.

These days, .bin files usually come with .cue files. The pair of files specify CD images. You can mount them using a virtual mounter like Daemon Tools (link below), or you can burn them to a CD using something that will understand the image file and burn the contents inside. (You can't just burn the file. That won't work.) If you don't have the .cue file, follow the instructions on the bintoiso page below.
