Hi-- think about your interests and the kind of volunteer work you would like to do. There are so many areas for example, nature/stream-bed clean-up and education, working with all ages of children in schools and after-school programs, working with the elderly, working with pets, volunteering in the domestic violence and sexual assault and homeless organizations, zoos-- almost any area that you are interested in needs volunteers and they need volunteers in many different areas such as educating others, answering phones, administration, grant writing. Think about what you want to do and contact organizations and set up an appointment to talk to them and let them see your resume, etc. Most offer some sort of training so you don't have to be an expert, just have a willing heart.
