If you are Muslim then its not ok. I don't know the rules about other religions.

If you met the president would you smoke while talking to him? Probably not, out of respect. When you're praying to God, you're talking with the greatest being, so i would say it's not OK, but only God knows for sure.

It's not okay to smoke [period]. It slowly kills you and as you know suicide is an unforgivable sin. I don't think you can pray and sin at the same time. OH well, they say that our God is a forgiving God right? And it is only the church that says suicide is unforgivable. Then go for it. And pray for forgiveness while you're at it.

I don't think so...How can you humble yourself before the Lord in prayer while you are occupied with a cigarette in your mouth...unless you are so good at smoking that you just do it without any concentration. You should pray with your mind totally submissive to the Lord and without any distractions.

It seems a bit disrespectful, doesn't it? I guess it depends on your religion, though. In some Native American religions, they smoke peyote while praying, and that's OK.

if ur a non-muslim, ....i dunoo i still think of smoking as a kind of an addiction.... (like alcohol) .. so i dont think its a good idea to do this
n if ur a muslim n ur talkin abt praying like "salah or namaz" then definitely NO!!!.. u dont do other stuff whilr prayin.... u give God almigthy the respect He deserves!!!!!!!

Reza is often how Persians spell Ridha as in the title of the 8th Imam. In that case, you should be ashamed of asking such a question.

there's a difference between talking to God and praying...if ur talking...its fine if u smoke...but prayers are dedicated moments between u and God and nothing should b there while ur in prayer
