I want to block a doorway (internal) from kitchen to bathroom, and make the door to the bathroom from the hall way...

You definitely do need permission in writing. They will want to know whether it requires builders permission from the local council if you plan to change any load bearing walls. You can change non load bearing walls without planning permission. Best is to get everything nicely organised to show the land lord you know what you doing.

yes you will defintily need permission..Do you plan on staying there for a while...how long is your lease because if your lease is temp or short term then they are bound to deny your request.Now on the other hand a long term lease in good standing the proposition would look better....And always make sure that you get your proposal in writing and upon agreement make sure you get that in writing as well...You dont want any unforseen actions taken if something happens...GOOD LUCK and happy remodeling
