The Bible Prohibit the eating of pork. However, most readers of the Bible say they do not know where they can find this in the Bible.
In the book of Leviticus, Chapter 11, v.7, it is recorded that God declares the pig to be unclean for believers. Then, in verse 8, God says: ' You must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you'. This command is repeated in Deuteronomy 14;7-8. Then, in Isaiah 65:2-4, and 66:17, God issues a stern warning against those who eat pork.
Some people are aware of this prohibition from God, but they say that they can eat pork because St. Paul said that all food is clean in his letter to the Romans 14:20. St. Paul said this because he believed (as he wrote in his letter to the Ephesians 2:14-15) that Jesus had abolished the Law with all its commandments and regulations. He seems, however, to have misunderstood what he heard from

I think the reason for this is that pork, if not cooked properly can cause trichinosis(tape worms) It probably caused some sickness so that is why it was probably banned.
It also says in the new testament that it is o.k. to eat anything as long as it is blessed first.

Yes, I am aware of the prohibition on eating pork in the Jewish Torah.
As a Gentile (Non-Jewish) Christian, we are not required to follow all of the Torah's instructions. We do not have to become Jews to be saved by Jesus' sacrifice. While following the Moral law is a given, the cultural requirements of the Jewish people are not required of us.
This question was settled in the First Jerusalem Council, approximately 20+ years after Jesus' crucifixion and ressurection. You can read the account of that in Acts 15, in any Christian Bible.
God is not so concerned with what we put in our bodies, as with the conditions of our hearts and souls.

That was the Mosaic law, but through Christ, all flesh was made clean. If you study carefully, you will learn that this law was given specifically to the Children of Israel, in the Old Testament; that was an Old Testament law. In the New Testament all meats were made clean and people were no longer under the law but under grace: Romans 14; Mark 7:14-19.

No...I'm going to side with Paul on this one. Jesus came so that the law that the Jews had to live under to be perfect in God's eyes was done away with. And the passage you quoted...Romans...if you read the whole chapter says that if one person says eating this is wrong, well that's up to him. It is not up to us to decide for another whether eating certain meals is right or wrong. Romans 14:3. It is up to us to not put a stumbling block in the path of others, or to do something that would cause them to mess up in their lives. Romans 14:13. I personally believe as Paul does...Romans 14:14. To God, no meat is unclean, but only in the eyes of the man himself. So, if you or someone else says eating pork is wrong, that's your view. If I say that eating cow is wrong, that's my prerogative. I'm just saying. It's not up to our friend or neighbor or whoever to decide whether or not what we believe about eating is right or wrong. It's up to us. Make up your own mind. Just don't stand in the way of someone else. And remember that we all must answer to God one day.

The bible also says that the laws will never be abolished, but Paul and Jesus fooled their believers into following their made-up religion.
And most of the translations of the old testament are wild mistranslations from the original Hebrew, made to fit the mold that the founders of chrisianity wanted.

I believe Paul had a vision in which he saw all manner of 'unclean' animals in a big bowl. The Voice said to eat and when Paul said, "No unclean thing has ever passed my lips", he was told, "Call no thing that I have made, unclean".
