Yes. What you have to do is have your pets vaccination records handy, and contact the airline you are flying TWO WEEKS OR MORE before you leave! They may charge a pet travel fee of $20-$50 depending on the airline. Depending where you go, your pet may have to be in quarratine for a few days to make sure he/she isnt bringing a new diease etc to a new country. Also- some tips for this- if it is a small dog, you can MAYBE have it onboard in a soft carrier- but It needs to fit under your seat. Otherwise, a hard carrier is best- not too big though or the pup can get thrown around. The carrier is good if the dog can get up, turn and lay down- not much bigger!
Hope I helped!

YES you sure can bring your special little friend on trips abroad. Be very specific and request information from your destination, for instance, I brought my dog to the Cayman Islands. The government has their own set of rules, guidelines, shots, timelines and approvals to go through and it can get expensive. My dog had to have a homing device implanted, get USDA approval and be treated for just about everything before we were able to bring him here and we only had a ten day window to do it. Plus whatever country you are going to has the right to refuse your pet entry at which point you will need to either fly him home immediately or face immediate extermination. No kidding! So know your requirements and be very thorough before you enjoy your dog abroad. By the way, my DOG LOVES the Cayman Islands, the beaches, the ocean, the environment, I don't regret one bit the 6 months and $1,000 it took to get him here, as I am working here for 7 years. I could not live without my baby! Good luck!

Define 'abroad'. England's restrictions prevented us from taking our dog for the weekend from Germany but it WAS allowed in France, Spain, Italy, Holland, Belgium & Switzerland, although the documentation took an awful long time to process & was expensive & extensive. The dogs documentation was nearly an inch thick & more detailed than our passports! The US is thought to be the land of the free but the quarintine in Hawa!! was also expensive with 3 months of kennel fees! I've heard rumors that undocumented animals are 'put down on arrival' in Australia!
The answer to you question will be impossible until you specify the country(ies) travelling 'from' & 'to'.

A lot of countries have some strict regulations about quarantine for animals. Also, you might have to quarantine your dog after the return. It all depends on the country you are visiting. Please specify the country and we can assist more thoroughly.

You may not be able to keep your dog in the passenger cabin, which could be upsetting to some dogs.

Another consideration is whether you will be able to take care of your dog in the hotel or in the place you will be staying. Will (s)he be able to stay occupied and happy when you go out to dinner or a tourist attraction? Are dogs allowed where you are planning to stay?

You can bring a dog here, provided you have all the bits of paper and are prepared to pay the costs of six months in quarantine.Of course you could always give him to your best friend to remember you by and get another one when you get here

Alot of countries do have quarantines, I would find out where your going has regulations about travel. My sister moved to Australia and in Hawaii they would have had to leave the animals there for 6 months!!!! So double check!!!!
