It is not important what the scientists are trying to prove or disprove, ur belief is important. Scientist who have declared the existance of god far ounumber the scientist whor up against intelligent design.Remember the primary evidence of religion comes from the exitance of science. Keep up ur faith, God shall reward u. My belief in God has come from the evidence we find in science.

Why do scientists keep banging their heads. Well, the universe appears to work according to a set of rules. Scientists are intent on figuring out these rules, through the scientific method, because it works. It just so happens that they don't need God to explain any of the things they have observed so far. If God becomes a requirement for a law of physics, for example, they will include him as part of the theory. Unlike religion, the scientific method constantly seeks to prove theories innaccurate so it can improve on that accuracy. For example, when einstein proposed his theory of relativity, it was an improvement on newtonian physics. Newtonian physics are still pretty darn accurate though, which is why it's still taught in schools everywhere.
As for why it's important, well, if not for science, you wouldn't be typing on a computer, you'd probably not know how to read or write, when you got sick you'd pray and see a priest instead of seeing a doctor, when you were thirsty you'd get water from a well instead of a tap, and at night you'd use a candle for light instead of electricity, and if you spoke out against your religion or your leige, you'd be publicly tortured and killed. Oh, and you'd still think the world was flat and the universe revolves around us.
Scientists have achieved and discovered more about the universe in the last 400 years than religion did in over 5000 years of history, and they did it without explanations from God. Any claims to the contrary are delusional or outright decietful.

Think about this scenario:
What would happen if the entire human race put together, brings a donkey in front of a mirror and tries to teach it that it is a reflection of itself? Would it make any sense to a donkey?
Better still, what if an urban dweller tried to teach a tribesman that we are all made up of atoms? Will the tribesman believe or chase the urban dweller away?
The same way, scientists who have their reality rooted in equations & theories, prefer to be rooted in that and not see anything else.
Resistance to change? Myopic thinking? Delusive reality?Whatever you may call it, its their reality which they are trying to prove desperately.
Whereas you correctly said, God is the up & down, the right & left, the beginning & end, the Alpha & the Omega. The Uncreated Creator.

scientists remember to use the spell check, by the way what proof do you have that there is a god other than what you have in your heart and you believe in your head? what proof do you have other than that? none, absolutely none, no lie none and you know it, so you really want to know why a scientist keeps chasing after the answer that they want or has my sarcasm made you figure it out yet? I believe the world and everything we know was created by the big bang, creation is my god my lord and my savior, I do not believe in god as you do and nor could I ever, I believe that when we die we are buried in the ground to rot and for the worms and the maggots to feed on my corpse and for them to be fed on by other creatures of this planet, it is the natural order of things and that is the way I feel, and I want it to be that way because I know it is the truth, it is the truth to me anyways, you believe in what you want and others will believe in what they want, in the end we are not so different

Simple,
If you define nothing then it becomes something making an eternal paradox of what existed before the universe. AKA the universe always existed.
As for Alpha/Omega, I could simply say that it defines change. Since change is a human concept people worshiping such a diety are worshiping something that does not exist in and of its self.

If you don't have scientists banging their heads on the wall looking for answers, you will still be thinking the earth is flat, the sun revolves around the earth, etc. etc.

Honestly... no, that isn't what we are looking for at all. Sorry to dispel your myth. We are writing papers to make sure we get research grants, because that's how we pay our bills. And we do this by looking up stuff in books. If we stopped writing, what else should we do? We are good at nothing else. And maybe some reasonably helpful cough drops may result from our work.

Religion and science which to show how they are correct. But I submit that religion and science can work together. God created all things including science.
People put to much thought into this.
