They are beautiful.... my friend has one. The only major problem with them is the amount of hair they shed. Plus you need to train them well from the second you get them home. Very, very smart and manipulative..... great pets as long as they know who is boss. Very talkative and attention seeking.
I have a Cornish Rex. They are breed specifically to be indoor cats, if that's what your after. No shedding (The fur is short and velvety) and they are very affectionate. They are smart as well, very cheeky, talkative and make good shadows as well. Plus they play fetch. Yep fetch. Very cute.

Hi - we have a half Ragdoll - his Dad was a silver tabby and Mum the Ragdoll. He is gorgeous. Has the most amazing blue eyes. He doesn't have a big personality in someways (I also have Siamese and Bengals which are ALL personality!). He is very chilled though and just sits around looking beautiful all day. It all depends what you are looking for in a cat - if you want a beautiful companion then Ragdolls are great - if you want a cat that follows you round all day and talks to you etc then maybe not.
Hope that helps.

Yes, I have a seal bicolour boy. They need to be groomed regularly, once a week and in warmer weather or change of season, that can be everyday for up to an hour or even more with some cats.
They are large cats so they eat a lot, be prepared for bigger food bills if you're not used to owning a large breed.
They MUST be kept indoors because they have a laidback nature and won't defend themself if they are attacked.
Cardiomyopathy, a disease of the heart muscles, while uncommon, has been detected in some Ragdoll lines. Cardiomyopathy is a fatal disease, and affected cats are likely to die within a year.
If you can handle all of that, then go for it :)

simply by cat individuality, their fur to improve at different cases. not all Ragdolls are lengthy-haired, and it may well be a part of a blended breed with more often than not ragdoll in him. And so some distance as crying at the same time as being picked up, it ought to likely be he's in soreness, yet besides because he's basically vocal. I once had a cat who cried at the same time as picked up yet after a vet visit, we got here across out she became basically... noisy. So i ought to call a vet and ask basically in forged.

If your looking for a cat that is more like a dog, a ragdoll is your best bet. My ragdoll is a beautiful flame male. Many people who visit think he is the most beautiful cat they have ever seen. He is very very soft! They have long coats and require brushing about twice a week. They absolutely grow to adore their owners and follow them everywhere. If I shut a door behind myself and don't let my cat in, he will meow and whine and paw at the door until I let him in. He is very trusting and does not get scared easily. In fact he is so trusting that he does not realize that he could be in danger and that someone might step on his tail. They are the absolute sweetest cats ever and I would recommend them to everyone.

I own one.... he's a grey puff ball...lol....he's a big baby.... very lovable. I'll sit on my couch in the evening and he'll come over and constantly nudge my arm and/or hand to get me to pet him.... every night around the same time. He will sit outside my bedroom door and meow when I go to bed.... because he doesn't like to be alone..... I can't let him in my room I have a parakeet in there and he can't go in my children's room because they have 3 hamsters. After he hears my voice he calms down and goes to sleep.
