In May-Juneish, I asked out a girl. She ended up saying yes, and now we're dating. Every Wednsday, especially since school ended, we've gone out for a small date at the very least. Now, for the last two weeks, I've had to call several times on Wednsday to get a hold of her, and last time she said she had to shop for clothes. I didn't really mind because I was tired and we both had worked a lot that week. This week, however, I hadn't even talked to her; I got her mother and her cell-phone voicemail. The first time I got her mother, she said she was in the shower, but she'll tell her to call me. So, that was alright, and two hours later I called back to be told that she had gone to hang out with her friend - without calling me. It felt like a slap to the face, as if it doesn't really matter. I know she's rather 'cold' because she is simply that type of person, but I think that people should at least call back. Am I right?

By the way I meant cold, just so you know, was that she didn't show much feeling to anyone, although she didn't block me out. She just doesn't really know how to show affection, I guess..

well, basing from your story, a "cold" person doesn't necessarily mean insensitive and ill-mannered. i don't know, but it's either her mother forgot to tell her you called, or her mother did tell her but she chose to ignore, or maybe she forgot what her mother said, there's no other way to interpret her actions but simply "didn't care"...

but there are so many reasons.

i think it's best if you ask her about it...

SOMETIMES PEOPLE DATE FOR A BIT AND LOSE INTEREST IN THE PERSON THEY ARE DATING..... IF YOU ARE GETTING THE "BRUSH OFF" THEN STOP CALLING. LET HER CALL YOU OR NOT BUT IT SEEMS AS IF SHE HAS MOVED ON FOR NOW AND I THINK YOU SHOULD MOVE ON AS WELL. THIS GIRL MAY ONLY WAS LIGHT DATING, IE; NO TIES AT ALL AND DATE MANY OTHERS AT THE SAME TIME WITHOUT TIES WITH ANY OF THEM. BUT.......... MAY I ASK WHY IN GODS NAME WOULD YOU EVER WANT TO DATE A GIRL THAT YOU YOURSELF HAS SAID SHE IS COLD. LIFE IS TO SHORT AND TO COLD AS IT IS TO WANT TO SPEND HEART FELT FEELINGS ON A GIRL THAT IS A COLD FISH........ HEART BREAK IN THE MAKING.!!!!

you shouldnt be that offended by her not calling you back. sometimes people have a lot on their mind or just dont feel like talking. if it is really bothering you though, you should talk to her about how you feel and get her to warm up to you a bit more. good luck =]

maybe you 2 should talk seriously about your relationship. maybe she doesn't take it seriously, and you do, that is why you don't manage to get along any more. communication is the best way, no matter what the results are.

Cut her loose, it sounds like she's lost interest or is testing you. I personally wouldn't waste your time.
