i choose to be a "spiritualist" i like that name for it, becausse i was raised a christian but it doesnt feel like the right religion and i have a long line of wiccan ancesters, could this be why i was drawn to wicca in the first place, when i choose to call myself a wiccan it feels wrong like i'm disgracing my family and my God, and when i call myself a christian i feel like i'm hurting myself and disgracing my wiccan ancesters, so i call myself a spiritual, i dont have to preform any spells that go against my christian beliefs and i dont have to be christian (they would want me to try and convert ppl to their beliefs i hate that when it was done to me i wanted to start punching ppl so i wont do it to anyone) can i do this or is it impossible i know that on the christian side they say "anything is possible with God" what about on the wiccan side can you give me some positive reinforcement or am i alone on this

this wicca fits me fine i already believe that God has no gender so God or Goddess it makes no differance to me i think as long as you know who you are worshipping it doesnt matter, and i always thought the holy spirit looked kinda girly so thats a perfect Goddess

Alot of people mix Christianity and Wicca. Personally, its not for me, and there is some debate about it. mostly cause Christianity doesn't mix easily with other Faiths. Check out this link anyways and decide for yourself.

The main difference between the beliefs is that the Wiccans acknowledge the "Goddess" part of the equation and the Christians do not.

You can have both beliefs and pray to both. This actually gives you more options, you have to remember people have their prejudices and are "stuck" in the beliefs they were raised in.

I believe that religion is a personal choice, and all views are valid as long as they do not harm others. So, this would eliminate the White Suprimists Groups because they preach hate.

As you grow older, the beliefs begin to fit you better. Like your favorite clothes...it gets more comfortable. Be proud that you believe in something. The ones that you find that fit you best will be worn in comfort, and you will feel "natural" about it.

Wiccan, Christian, or both...whatever you end up with will be fine. Some people do not have any faith, and that is truly sad.

Bless you child;

This has gaved me dejavu, I was and as a matter of fact by the time I was 16 yrs old I was on my way to become a carmelite nun. (figures) I was very involved in my spiritual development. Reading, consulting with cleragy and most of all praying. But there was a problem that consumed me always , I could see and feel things. Predict things and some times make things happen. When I went to confeccion they saw this as the working of the "devil". By the time I turned 17 I realized that there was something more and I owed to myself to find out what this was. Very quietly I reaserched and looked inside myself for the truth. NO BODY CAN TELL YOU WHAT TO BELIVE , THE SUPREME BEING KNOWS YOU ,KNOW YOURSELF.

I am a christian that knows that there is something more than what the counsel of NISSEA and the emperor Constantine (the ones that canonized the cristian bible) let us to belive and accept. Follow your heart honey. Study and be imparciall. You have something that I didn't , youcan reaserch in the internet anonimusly I had to go to a public library full of narrow minded people. Use this resourse. Blessed be.

I may be totally off-base here (if I am, just disregard my answer). What I see is a person who clearly sees his path. You seem to know what feels right and what doesn't. You don't seem like the kind of person who really needs another person to validate what you believe.
Are you questioning what to label your beliefs because they aren't quite "here" or "there"? To me your question is more about labels than beliefs. I see nothing wrong with using the word "spiritualist" to identify yourself. Does this mean that you follow the beliefs of the Spiritualist Churches?

Whatever your path is, be true to yourself. Only you know what is right or wrong for you. A label is icing on the cake, but the cake is good enough that it really doesn't need icing. For the first 25 years of my life I was a polytheist that did not have a name for my practices. I called them "Other" because that's what I always had to check on paperwork. "Other" was a wonderful path and very fulfilling. My beliefs have changed and now I have another name for my religion, but in my heart, it is still "Other".

Well, I have a couple of suggestions for you. You might look into Celtic Christianity, which used a lot of the imagery and concepts of the Druidic Pagans of the region. Particularly, look into the history of Brighid and the process of Her conversion from goddess to saint.

You might also look into Masonry and the Ceremonial Magic of the Golden Dawn. Both are strongly compatible with core Christian beliefs, and if you find their path is not for you, you will come away with a better understanding of Wicca in its various forms.

I beleive basically the same thing you do.
I think it is possible to be both because there is magic all around us, that is just waiting for people to wake up and tap into. God himself is magic, so why would it be so wrong for anyone else to have these abilities.

I can see where alot of people would deny that the two could co-exist because of the poly-theistic ways of wicca. I however believe that it is no different than the way that Christians beleive in the trinity. So basically I believe that all the entities and deities involved in Wicca are just different parts of God. Its kind of hard to explain, but believe me you arent alone!

HA youre alone. If youre calling yourself a wiccan or spiritualist and believe in that crap (whether its for you or your ancestors) then PLEASE stop referring to God as "your" God. Go hug a freakin tree and worship mother earth.
