If he's indifferent to you, he doesn't love you.
If you mean he's your lover because you hook up on occasion. It's a bootie call. Drop him. You certainly deserve better than indifferent. He sounds like a jerk

Talk to them and let them know, maybe you guys can find some kind of middle ground so that you're both happy. Let them know your true feelings thats the only way for improvement, if you don't tell them how your feeling then how are they supposed to know?
