in all the personals i see, girls are always saying they're looking for a guy at least 5'9" or taller.
i'm a guy and i'm 5'7". where does that leave me? okay, so i may be on the short side.
but most girls are shorter than me. i can see how a girl might not want her guy to be shorter than her, but as long as he's at least her height, shouldn't that be good enough?
what's with all these short girls demanding really tall guys?
it really doesn't seem fair to me. i happen to have a great personality and a lot to offer, but because of one trait that is completely out of control, i'm automatically out of the running for many women.

or do women really mean it when they list those height requirements? do you think any women would be willing to make an exception for a guy if everything else is good?

you might say "well, guys pigeonhole girls the same way with weight". but it's not quite the same. weight is something that people have control over by diet and exercise. height is beyond control

This is a really really good question. I'm six feet tall. I'm 17. I'm a girl. Tall guys that are my age or a little bit older dont like tall girls, so where does that leave me?? Stranded and alone for a while untile the ******* grow the heck up; either that, or wait until they hit puberty. HAHA.. I dont 'have anything against guys that are shorter than me. My latest crush was on a guy who was six feet tall as well but always slouched so whenever I walked next to him, he looked shorter. I agree with the whole height being out of our control. I really really wish that I wasn't so tall because I feel so alienated sometimes. Tall guys want short girls and people i've never met, never talked to are scared of me because I'm tall. Most women aren't "serious" about the height "requirements" they list. Its more of a guideline. But naturally, girls do want a guy who is a little bit taller if not the same height so they feel protected. But dont' worry..there are SOO many girls that are 5' 6" and below.

regrettably, i'm distinctly helpful maximum women folk do care. many women choose a guy this is taller than them by utilising a honest sufficient quantity to notice. Now, needless to say no longer all women care, and not all care lots that it will make or injury a courting. yet i be conscious of from first hand verbal replace that many women (young babies, those i've got talked to) declare that a guy must be as superb or eye-catching as would be, yet whilst the guy is shorter than them, then they does no longer date. an quite unhappy, shallow attitude, even nevertheless that's a situation-free one. So, nonetheless choose for any lady you like and take it sluggish. in the event that they reject you because of the fact of your top than they're very in all probability shallow and the courting does no longer be very relaxing besides.

because first impressions count. girls just like guys to be taller than them, so [this is superficial] they can wear 3inch heels and still be shorter than you. but in the end, it doesnt matter if you're only a inch taller because personality always wins out.
