Lol, of course there is such thing as Manorexia! Anorexia is not limited to only the female race. I am not sure if it is still on the stands, but there was a special edition of Time magazine and it told stories about 2 boys that have anorexia. Take care of your brother, okay? =)

No. Anorexia is a co-ed term. Men AND women can have anorexia. He should really get help before it becomes serious and life threatening.
For guys, anorexia usually occures because they feel its' a quicker way to gain muscle strength (perhaps even abs?). But that doens't work. Talk to your brother and ask why he does so. Watch his diet. Too little food will cause malnutrition, and his body will start to weaken and lose function.

I have heard of "Manorexia." It is a real condition that affects some males. I think the reasons it affects males are different from why it affects females, but the end results are the same - self-starvation. I saw a documentary on this once and one male with anorexia became anorexic simply because he didn't like his body.

What! Is your brother gay or something or feminine? Because your opinion is totally true, anorexia is totally for women. Man, so many sissy's out there! I feel bad for the women who can't find a real man and not a punk. By the year 2012 there will be something going on and a lot of straight women will go for women.

It has been made up to describe men with anorexia. It's not a real word, but people do use it. You are correct, your brother is wrong.

Guys can suffer from eating disorders just like girls. It is less common, but also less reported, so its hard to tell the real statistics.
