my boyfriend alwayz wants to talk to me on the phone. but when he calls we never talk bc we have nuthing to talk bout... we dont live in the same town so we dont know the same people! its really akward! what do i do!??

There is no dearth of subjects on phones. Use your seetest voice to tell him that you consider him as the most ideal person, ask about his health, his job, his friends, his boss etc. Ask about the food he likes there and the ones he dislikes. Jovially ask him about the women colleagues there and ask him to rate you from them.
Eventhough you know the answers for all these questions, its nice to hear each other;s voice and imagine what the other will be doing when he/she talks!!!!

in the beginning of most relationships men give us that quality time by submitting an ear.
Majority of the times. we end up doing the talking and men just listen.
You should ask your boyfriend what happened in his previously relationship.
What future plans does he have for y'all.
What is the most adventurous thing he has ever done.
How does he feel about marriage, monogamy, unprotected sex.
What type of relationship does he have with his parents and how does this influence his views and behaviors now?
If he is incapable of initiating any conversations, you may suggest limiting the extended periods of silence via the phone.
You sound bored already. You are just getting to know him please be patient.

start with daily rountines, how has he been? how is his work? and tell him about yr days.. from there u can find u and his interest. later on u always can focus on his interest and yrs. And also talk about the past and share the same dream for the future like which up coming event make u exited and what u want to do. keep up..

am in the same situation and sometimes we just ask each other how the day was for everyone. but be creative,send him some interesting mail about how much u miss him and tell him to do the same when he calls u,watch a movie and tell him about it, or a story about yo friends,just have fun

we just talk about anything .. it doesnt matter that we dont have the same friends (were in different towns for the summer cause of college). you two must have something in common to be dating ... use that as a starting off point.

Girl, if you guys cant make conversation because he has nothing to say then its time to ship up and ship out. I know plenty of people who live far away and trust me location has nothing to do with common interest in most cases. its all in the personality. if he has nothing to say then what good is he ?

whats the point of having a boyfriend if you dont tell him almost everything? be his best friend. it will make your relationship ten times stronger. and dont force anything thats not meant to be.
