basically, the light stopped working for no reason. one minute it was on, the next the whole thing just switched off and won't come back on again. i have checked the bulbs (it has 4 of them) and they are fine. it is connected to the main lighting circuit, and the rest of the lights on the circuit work perfectly. i wondered if anyone here had any ideas on how to help sort this out, as its a bit of a pain not having a main bedroom light!!

Its called a ballast and its not low voltage, its actually higher than the 115 VAC from the outlet.
Not worth replacing, you will have to buy a new lamp

These halogens usually run of a low voltage transformer.

Has the transformer cut out for some reason. These sometimes get plugged/wired into the Ring Main.

interior the perfect international, specific. it would trip. regardless of if we don't stay in a suitable international. i could hate to be sure all your artwork, to not point out your residing house, pass up in flames. good luck.

check your fusebox.. maybe the mcb has tripped...
