I was clueless first, because I thought you were referring to Office 3 - an older, may be DOS version, which surely is obsolete now -, not Office 2003.

Anyway the answer is 'Yeah'. There is a limit for total number of activations. So if you use few of them, your friends number is reduced.

If you can not afford Microsoft Office 2003, I recommend to use Open Office, rather than pirating. Open Office is completely free.
