In the movie, a caveman and a lady(she is a contemporary) are sitting togerther in the cave and there is a line that i don't understand

The lady says: "we’ll keep all other thought out of our romantic little Neanderthal mind."

I know what romantic means,
but before this line, she says "I hope you don’t have anything else on your mind."

I guess these two lines are discrepancy...
She didn't want him to do anything, but next she want him to think about romantic things??

she is re-emphasizing that "romantic" thoughts are not appropriate and she is doing it in a manner that is meant to be humorous to the movie viewer.

sarcasm...alluding to the [supposedly]mentally inferior Neanderthal minds.....

Like a big city girl telling her boy friend...we'll keep all other thoughts out of your country-farm boy mind

sarcasm, she didn't want him to do anything and inferred that he was a mental midget/uncouth/uncivilized/boorish if he even thought about "other things"
