Destiny alludes to a "life with no control": A life that has been predetermined. It isn't necessary for someone who believes in "destiny" to make a decision. Whatever happens, happens. We don't have to "decide" on anything. We just glide from birth to death.

I don't believe in destiny, but I do believe in getting yourself into things that are for all intents and purpose inescapbable. Destiny implies that X will happen no matter what you do -- that all waters will lead to the same storm drain, if you will -- and I do believe it is more complex than that in most cases.

I believe in free will. Our life is not already mapped out for us. If destiny even exists, it exists in the fact that our conscious decisions make it.

Yes and No. I guess I believe in destiny but not fate. I believe we choose our destiny. I am the result of my choices, good and bad. If I made other choices I would be another person. So if one doesn't like their choices, they are in essence saying they don't like themselves.

Nope I was just talking to my BF yesterday and asked him if he could go into a time machine and make me stay home on 3 days of my life and then on one day make me not go out with one abusive person. It might have saved my health and I might have a much better life. Decisitons are everything. But if we did not make one we might have had an opportunity to be somewhere for another and be dead.

There's definitely been a few decisions I could have made that would have changed my life. Too late now though.

No, I don't believe in destiny. I believe God gave us the freedom of choice so that we can weave our own future.
