It is a state of mind. I've been in horrible situations that seem like they will last for ever and found that focusing on the negativity of it all makes it far worse. Better to enjoy the little things when they happen (even if it is a simple take out latte during a 15 minute tea break) and hope for the light at the end of the tunnel to start showing itself.

No, even in the most grueling years -- and yes, I have had some -- there were some seconds of relief in every day, at the least. Generally more, the last several years.

You sound depressed... The only time I ever felt that way I regretted the decisions I made during that period (it lasted for about 7 years) If you really feel that way, maybe you should find a way to eliminate the source of your anxiety.

I do hate every second of my time in my previous job. I drag my feet to work, I dislike what I am doing and I look forward to after office hours.

yes. my life virtually sucked for about a yr and a half straight.not good times. but i took zoloft for a while and i even fell in love. it gets better. slowly....
