In the long term I would say No, it's not. Ibuprofen can cause damage to your stomach lining. If you're taking that much, at least make sure you're taking it with food. I work in a hospital and have seen patients come in with bleeding stomach ulcers that were severe enough that they required a blood transfusion. One was taking 8 tablets daily. See if your Dr. can prescribe something as effective but less damaging.

I will tell you what my Doctor told me when I asked about Ibuprofen.
The ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM DOSE= (4) 200Mg Tablets
4 Times a Day
That's the MAX which totals 3200Mg and it's tough on your stomach. Yes it can cause bleeding, you have to be careful. Ibuprofen at that level kills pain so well you won't feel an ulcer. That's what can make it so dangerous.
I personally took 1800 to 2400Mg a Day, ALWAYS with FOOD, for a year and had no problem.
If you're having recurring headache maybe you should check with your MD. I hope this helps, good luck.

not if you're prego, also NO if you have just head ache. because i've used it, it can cuz you ulcer or even gut cancer if you use it for a long time without really any reason, ibuprofen stops inner bleeding, but if there no bleeding, it can accure bleeding. Don't do it....

not on a steady basis not only is it hard on the stomach but can play heck on the kidneys over a period of time you need to find the underlying cause of the headaches.
