Mmmm...jello shots!

Only use 1/2 the water called for on the Jello box, and boil it. Take it off the burner, stir in the Jello mix, and them add the other half of liquid in the form of alcohol. Put it into little cups, and let it set in the fridge for 2 or 3 hours.

Good combinations:

Cranberry or strawberry Jello and vodka (plain or berry flavored)

Lime Jello and tequila (margarita Jello shots!)

Orange Jello and peach schnapps (fuzzy navel Jello shots)

Watch out, though, these things pack a wallop!

The Jello Shot Guru here I recommend this recipe:

1 6 oz box of jello
2 cups hot water
7/8 cup alcohol

For Step by Step instructions and helpful tips and tricks go to http://www.jelloshotz.com

you can use any kind of alcohol that sounds good to you. Here are some ideas:

green apple jello (if you can find it, it was discoed by Kraft.) and wild apple vodka

Gin and Lime Jello
Tequila and Lime or Lemon Jello
Light Rum and Berry (Strawberry especially)
Vodka works in any flavor (Blue Jello is cool, so is watermelon)
Use peach Jello and sub Hot OJ for water and use Vodka...YUM
Use Cranberry Jello, Hot Cranberry Juice. Get some dried cranberries and soak them in vodka over night. This turns the vodka a nice red and very flavorful. Then you use the vodka in the jello shot and you can put a few cranberries in the Jello Shot. Way Yum.

I personally like the little plastic jello shot cups better than the paper ones. Once you have used a toothpick a couple times you get the hang of it, it works like a charm.

Also you can use Jello or Cake molds to have some fun. I used ice cube trays to make a flag for 4th of July last year.

I would imagine you could use a variety of alcohols, depending on what flavor of jello you're using. I've made them with vodka.

When I made mine I just replaced half of what the jello instructions called for of water with alcohol, so for example (been a long time since I've made jello this is just a guess) if it calls for 2 cups of water, use one cup water, and one cup alcohol.

you just add the alcohol into the mix. You can do it per shot, or add alcohol to the whole bowl. Any alcohol can be used, but the point is to get the stronger, nastier stuff so you can't taste it but still get the effect. ex) Jack Daniel's, tequila's, etc

You use cold Vodka instead of cold water when you make Jello.

How do you think? Any alcohol will do. Depends on the taste you want. Gin, vodka, rum. Even tasty stuff like whiskey or wine will work.
