I'd just shrug it off and never bring it up again. Just say 'okay, thats cool' and go on with being friends.

well you basically have 2 options; cut off all contact, become a stranger and ignore her. Or you could be bigger than that and decide that you value your friendship so much that you could not bear to lose her as a friend too. My bf and I broke up a few months ago and he's still one of my best friends. it's hard at first but we're closer now as friends than we ever were. everyone deals with the pain differently but just know that if you really want to, it is possible to stay good friends.

Why'd she reject you? Just give her some space and let her forget that you asked. I mean, she probably isn't going to forget, but the akwardness will fade!!

REjection is part of life. let it go through one ear and out the other. it may or may not take time to get over the rejection. you will awkward but you will get over it. but you have to move on so you can find other interesting girls.

Act like you have always acted with her. Don't bring the subject up again. If she does, simply I've accepted your answer, end of story.

you should pretend like nothing happened...I know that sounds easier said then done. But if you have hopes of being with her you need to continue as friends and hope that one day she will see.

it's either you would carry the burden of being rejected or forever be her friend.
but be persistent, treat her more than a friend could.. be a gentleman.
