Lack of water but mainly heat.
I was in a realy hot shower and i felt kinda woosey.
When I came out I thought nothing of it.
I went upstairs.(I live in my attic)
I got dizzy and fainted.
I hit my head on my desk.
The thing that realy sucked was that I just got out of the shower so I was butt naked.
My dad came in to see if I was okay.

Fainting is defined as falling down and being unconscious for a short period of time. The medical term for fainting is syncope. Usually, there is complete recovery in a matter of seconds or a few minutes.
Usually fainting is not caused by a serious or life-threatening medical problem. One of the most common and least worrisome reasons for fainting is due to anxiety or emotional upset, called vasovagal syncope. Fainting occurs following sudden stress (for example seeing an accident), severe pain or prolonged standing in a hot crowded room. As people age, the ability of the nervous system to control blood pressure becomes less sensitive. This worsens if you have not had enough liquids or you are taking medicines such as blood pressure lowering drugs, antidepressants and antipsychotics. Rising from lying to standing position, or standing for a long time, may cause a fall in blood pressure. This condition is called as orthostatic hypotension. Temporary pressure on a sensitive spot in the neck, low blood sugar and anemia may also cause fainting.
However there are a few serious causes for fainting. These include heart problems, internal bleeding and stroke. Irregular heart rhythms are the most common heart-related cause of fainting. The heart may either beat too rapidly or too slowly so that little blood reaches the brain. Damage to the pumping muscle or heart valves may also cause fainting.

Yes, the first time was when I was 10...I went to Catholic school and once a week they would make us stand out by the flagpole to say the Pledge of Allegiance and pray and stuff for about an hour. It was really hot out and this girl standing next to me was picking her nails and they were all infected; it was making me sick. Everything got really dark and my ears were buzzing. When I walked back to class, my legs felt like rubber. The teacher told me I looked white as a ghost, and my mom came and picked me up. The second time was when I was about 14 -- I was sick with the flu for a couple of weeks and I lost a ton of weight, I was hospitalized for dehydration. The nurses tried several times to stick an IV in me, but they couldn't find the vein, so they kept twisting the needle around and trying different spots. That made me nauseous and I turned pale and blacked out...thankfully, I was in a bed. There have been several other times where I felt close to fainting, and it was usually from feeling grossed out. I can take any physical pain, but I can't stand being grossed out...it's like torture.

Yes a few times. I usually faint when I lose blood. It started when I broke my nose. The bones shattered and I lost so much blood I passed out in a red cross tent. Ever since then I faint when I lose blood, even when the doctors take a small amount.

When I was first diagnosed with migraines, my neck was locked up from it and I couldn't move (took almost 2 weeks to loosen), and my doc gave me Flexerell and Relpax.
I took both as directed and when I woke up the next day, went and took a shower and felt faint . . . I went to sit on the side of the bathtub and woke up shortly there after lying outside the tub with bottles all around me . . .
I laughed at the time, my doc made me have an MRI, Caroltid Doppler and 24-hour sleep-deprived EEG that I had to wait until 1 freaking 30 in the afternoon to do! That sucked sooooo bad!!

I was walking down the hallway of my school and all of a sudden everything went black and next thing i know im waking up in the nurses office and the taste of syrup in my mouth. From now on i really try not to get my sugar that low. Its not a pleasent feeling to faint.

In my 9th/10th grade, i had severe anemia and low blood pressure. i fainted quite a few times then and hurt myself really bad. for some reason, i had many sort of blood problems then and was under regular medication.
I remember one time when i fainted i fell down with a chair and hit a wardrobe behind me. It really hurt and and I had swellings at many places. Anothert time, when I fainted I realized I was fainting and I was telling my mother to hold me. I fainted in her arms and in those moments of senselessness i somehow saw something written with blood in a black background! I later realized it was the effect of an X-files scene.
Anyways, thanks God I survived that period and havent fainted ever thereafter till now.

All those things. But mostly fainting is caused from a lack of oxygen to the brain. It is your body's way of shutting everything down so you don't get brain damage.

Yes, I was in a play in Jr. high and we had to stand in the background during the entire play. I t was extremly hot in a n un-airconditioned auditorium and the spotlight was even hotter and I had to wear a thick shawl adn I locked my knees whiel I was standing. Everythign was really dark looking adn I couldn't stnd straight-i was liek wobbling around everywhere dizzy like. My friend grabbed me and took me backstage where I layed inmy friend who was backstage's lap until my teacher came. I was todl it was the locking of the knees that did it. That and the heat.
