Maybe you encounter, but not all of them are giving such response, forgive if they have offended you. We are making efforts to be better, and we are on our way. Maybe many not agree with what we believe in but it does not mean it is wrong, just remember when once all the people on earth believe the earth is square but few people believe it is round (those pioneer scientist) at last truth will be revealed, and there is nothing to be angry about. most important thing is you know personally what you are heading and holding on in life that will never be shaken, when people know the truth they will not stray from the truth which is the foundation. for example, when you know 1x1x1=1 you wont say it is three, therefore A is an A when somebody who say A is B, then we can't say it is right. we are sorry but we can't say A is B when A is A.
God bless you.

I don't think this is unique to Christians. Lots of people don't like it when someone questions their beliefs. Percentages on a view point to make something right or wrong either, so I don't really see how the statisics would be relevant.
If 90 percent of the world believed in slavery, would we say I don't get why slaves (10 percent) are so upset? I hope not.
I'm a Christian, and for me, it doesn't matter what he majority believes, it matters what I believe in my heart. The challenge that I see often is that Christianity is very faith-based, and Christians often find themseleves in fact-based discussions, which they will always do poorly in. It doesn't mean that the other party has its facts straight or even remotely correct, but the premise of the argument is faith versus fact, and they don't always make for an equivilent discussion.
Some people gawk at faith. Show me fact! But, you can't really prove or disprove faith either. Faith itself is defined as the evidence of things hoped for . . . the substance of things not seen.

I'm not mostly angry. The thing that I'm offended is that someone with different belief will give an offensive message to the other beliefs. Which is not right, we should respects each others belief even if we have different beliefs. Let's make this place a better because there is war out there. Do you want war even here in the Internet?

Hey,
As a Christian, I apologize for all of the mean and negative things said, through all history.
Forgiveness is the #2 thing we as Christian should learn from the bible. Salvation through Jesus Christ is #1.
Romans 10:2 says "For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge."
these people have an apparent zeal for the Lord, but because they are not practicing the knowledge of the bible, they're misrepresenting God, and the true essence of Christianity.
Look for the good in those Christians who meet opposition with kinds words, not the ones who offend to defend what they believe.
You will know a true Christian by their love, and their actions. Not everyone's perfect mind you, Christians included. We grow one day at a time, just as you do, but we all get better everyday, and gain more wisdom which prevents us from doing silly things.
God Bless you

I think the main reason some Christians get defencive (angry) is because they feel attacked on many levels. Not criticizing all atheists by any means, but some do treat Christians like they are unintelligent, and that their beliefs are inferior. Not only this, but values in today's North American society are steadily moving away from what many Christians believe. It's likely just a reaction, like on the school yard:
"There's no proof for creation!"
"You can't prove evolution either!"
"Yes you can, (cites various proof)"
"Well, you're going to hell!"
Ideally all Christians (and other religions too) would say, "This is what I believe and why I believe it but as God is a matter of faith I can offer proof but can not entirely prove this."
Then all atheists would reply, "This is what I believe and why I believe it but as evolution (genetics can be observed using scientific method but not evolution) is a matter of faith I can offer proof but can not entirely prove this."
Then everyone would get along, calmly debating their beliefs. No more religious ideological wars, everyone would be at peace.
Dream on, eh?

I feel like, as a Christian, I am supposed to help people find their way to Christ. Trust me, I'M NOT PERFECT and I know that and will admit it to anyone who asks.
Some things that people say about Christians can hurt, but we aren't supposed to get mad about it and hate people for what they believe. Every one of us on this planet is different. We are all supposed to be different. Some people have just as strong of a view about their own religion as I do about the Christian religion. I don't hate them for that or wish that they didn't exist. I can only do my part as a Christian to help them see what I believe, that Jesus is the son of God and he came to this Earth a long time ago to live a perfect life. Then he sacrificed himself so that I could go to the most perfect place someday...Heaven. It is my duty as a Christian to teach people about this wonderful gift and to show them how they can have that gift as well.
I screw up every day. I am not perfect. But I will never ever give up trying to do what is right and trying to help other people do the same.
God bless you!

Christians are proving to you that they are human, like everyone else. Some try to carry the weight of the world on their shoulders, and break once in a while. While others ( I like to consider myself as one of these) return fire when the attack arises. Some of the questions leveled at all Christians include to pigeon holing of pretentious perfection and the outward appearance of Holiness (meaning a better than you appearance).
I am not one of those. I return fire at those who would have me as those that want to appear perfect. I want people to know that I am most certainly not perfect, and don't try to appear that way.
Jesus provides perfection once we get to heaven, I cannot obtain it without Him and until the day He imputes it on me.
So the questions that I choose to answer are those that I either can give answers that might help someone understand, or a ration of $hi+ to those who deserve it.
Otherwise I'll ignore the idiots, many who post here are those kind of idiots. Not all, but many.
That's why you might read a bit of anger on my part. I took offense to stupidity and said so. Maybe not for the idiot poster, but for any who care to read it.

Because most of those other beliefs are either Muslim, who want world domination or Communist, who want world domination.
Are YOU ready to become either a Communist slave or a Muslim slave!?
Christians do not enslave. They may talk your head off, look down their snoots at you and give you a hard time, but except for a very, very rare minority, they don't hold a gun to your head and say: BELIEVE OR ELSE!
And the ELSE is either death or a prison when it comes to Islamic Extremists or Communist proletartiate and secret police.
With the Christians the "or else" is usually "you will rot in hell."

This is a good question, however your numbers are wrong over 75% of the united states observes the Christian faith in one respect or another. The thing that happens is that people become prideful or arrogant in what they believe in and you too are welcome to believe whatever you want, however I believe that Jesus Christ came to the world for as a sin offering and died for my sins and was raised again on the third day and one day will return to the earth.

I don't know too (I'm a Christian). Maybe those Christians out there are angry because those questions degrade or insult Christianity. Still, I think we must be more patient so that people with different beliefs would not misunderstand us or think that we are a bunch of agressive people.
