just for those who think i entered i didn't i was entered my boyfriend and now all his family is expecting something amazing and the reason i'm looking here is because i don't bake!

It depends on where you live, but if where you live does not have many Pennsylvania Dutch people, then follow the link to my 360 page and see the recipes under the heading "Why the Pennsylvania Dutch are all fat." The Shoo Fly Pie, especially, is sufficiently unusual outside of Pennsylvania that it might win for you.

Chocolate Cake


Deliciously moist and light, The chocolate cake is served with a heavenly passion fruit and mascarpone mousse


Ingredients
oil, for greasing
300g dark chocolate, broken in pieces
150g unsalted butter
6 eggs
50g caster sugar

For the passion fruit mousse:
250g Mascarpone
3 tbsp icing sugar
3-4 tbsp double cream
pulp from 3 passion-fruit


Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/gas 4. Grease the base and sides of a 20cm springform cake tin and line with greaseproof paper.

2. Melt the chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water.

3. Separate the eggs and whisk the yolks with 2 tablespoons of the sugar for 30 seconds until pale and smooth. Stir in the melted chocolate and mix well.

4. Beat the egg whites with the remaining sugar until stiff.

5. Using a large metal spoon, quickly fold one-third of the whites into the chocolate mix to slacken it. Then gently fold in the remainder. Pour the mix into the cake tin.

6. Place on the middle shelf of the oven and bake for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven. Allow to cool in the tin for a few minutes before transfering to a wire rack to cool completely.

7. To make the passion fruit mousse, beat together all the ingredients. Serve with the cake.

Smores truffles :D i do no longer comprehend a precise recipe yet im confident you're able to do some thing alongside the strains of a crushed biscuit base, accompanied via a chocolatey cupcake :D then the two beautify with frosting and marshmellows, or take the middle out of a cupcake and placed a combination of chopped mini marshmellows and melted chocolate interior, overlaying up with frosting :D it incredibly is totally unique and is confident to flavor great presented you're making a killer choco cake. the point of recipe/cooking/baking contests is to be creative and use your own self created recipes. best thing to do is get busy thinking about what it is you want to enter and start practicing. i have been working on a couple of recipes of my own for a really big contest coming up.

Upside down Apple Cake or Pineapple Cake.

You put the fruit in the bottom, then the cake mix, then bake and when it is finished, you turn it out and the fruit is on the top.
