My friend is going blind she needs to find a job she can do after she loses all her sight but must be collage degree to make her job more secure... LIST JOBS please LOTS

There is nothing that can stop her from going blind she has had so many operations. She's learning Brail talking to professionals she just wants to seek out her options rather than just take something because she has too it sucks when you are limited!

she can work as phone secretary, for police, hospital, fire department etc. they use blind people to answer the emergency calls. take my answer serious, i am trying to help here...
P.S. they have hands free head sets (voice detectable) for them, i saw it before... i hope it would help...

She needs to search for websites in her state for schools for the blind, which can teach her skills that can help her get a job. Also call vocational rehabillitation in her state. The social security administration should be able to give her some info.

well, she could do that now at least, while she still has sight...

Honestly, I'd have her go to the V.A. website and see what jobs they have posted. They are always looking for people, and people with special needs are given priority over those without when it comes to getting hired. Plus the VA operates everywhere, so she may not have to relocate or anything.

I.R.S. they maybe able to place her in a good secure job my mother worked for them for 30 years and she had a friend who was blind and he worked there full time great benefits and answered phones all day.

I am sorry about your friend. I would try a Society for the blinds. They might even pay for a College. Good luck!

Before helping her with a career, are you sure that there is nothing that can be done to stop her from going completely blind?Please........please, do not give up!

Please check with the various Blind Associations as they and the state have listings. Remember that she will qualify for SS benefits to help her train for a job.
