Mom's, what is the best advice (of any kind) you could offer other mothers that have children of any age?

Mine is for mom's with younger children. Make a new tradition that is just for you and your kids. One of my favorite ones is when my daughter was 2 1/2 a she understood that with birthdays comes a birthday cake. At Christmas realizing that it was Jesus's birthday, she asked for a birthday cake as a present for him. So now every year we buy a birthday cake that says Happy Birthday Jesus and we sing Happy Birthday.

Next Best Moms Advice.......cant' top yours hon!
My son and I have always gone to a ice cream place on mothers day and he always buys ,he and I one banana split and we split the split.
First time we did this he was two years old and his father was still healthy, but we were dirt poor broke but independent of the folks and friends, Owed no one any thing. Even the little old trailer house we lived in was paid for by 2 previous years worth of making payments and saving till we had enough to pay it off. The only concession made was we had put it on a piece of his dad;s property, but it was 15 miles away from the folks,
He is now 22 enrolled in college as a biochemical engineer and his Dad passed when he was 15 years old. We have buried everyone who was our family except for his dad's parents, in the years from age 15 till age 22.
But he and I still go to Braum's on mothers day evey year and he buys a banana split and we split it. I love my son.

That boys and girls is what being a parent is all about, cause you see he loves me too. He is as proud of where he came from as where he is going to. Make your children love themselves as well as you. Teach them what a real grown up is all about. Teach them what the real world can do to them if they let it in . Teach them by showing them how to keep it out.

The best advice I could give mothers of new babies: Don't wish your baby could talk, don't wish they could walk. Don't wish they could eat more, do more, or anything more. Appreciate every single second with them and enjoy who they are at the moment. They'll never be that little baby again and someday you'll long for those precious moments you shared with your baby and wish they were little again, just so you could hold them close and smell that sweet baby smell. It happens so fast, in a blink of an eye....

Best advice?
not to sweat it. Do the best you can, and know that the rest is less important.... it is a great job, and no-one can be perfect!

Picking your battles will keep you sane during the years, and happy enough to enjoy your time with your children...
