People who claim to be in the church aren't always so. They tend to be hypocrites (if you were to follow the day in the life of a "Christian", you'd find half of them doing drugs or watching porn, masturbating, or something) And then on Sunday they come and judge you for your sins.
We're humans and the best I can tell you is to move on.

It is sad that all too many so-called Christians end up as 'Churchie's'. Instead of doing that which is right, they worry about what is wrong all the time. Their focus drifts from on the Lord to on themselves. How they can be better. Also they take what the Pastor says as Gospel. Too bad that a lot of Pastors are wolves in sheeps clothing.
2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
The Bible does warn us of these people though.

When you are "into church" does not make you a perfect citizen. It looks like the lady is not trusting you, but I cannot say very much about that because I do not know the situation.
Remember, Christians are sinners like everybody else. The church is the hospital for sinners. We all have problems of some sort.
If you want to make things right, show with your sincere behavior that you are trustworthy.

The truth is that just because someone goes to Church and is Christian doesn't mean that they are perfect. In the end we are all still human and given to human failings. She should try to strive to forgive, but that doesn't mean that she'll be able to. Lord knows I go to Church, but I fail all the time....at forgiving people and personal sins. I try not to judge others because I know how far I am from perfect. It's a credit to you that you've taken this step towards her. Maybe she'll come around eventually.

Just because a person goes to church, don't hold them up and expect him or her to act right. I've known Sunday school teachers who have affairs and seen people in church act like they were in a bar. People are still people.
Don't blame the Lord for her not being able to forgive you.
Also, I wouldn't be surprised if her husband said something to her first about talking to you and it made her jealous.

It sounds like you and her husband have found forgiveness. This has nothing to do with religion, so don't try to divert attention from the real problem here. His wife is still being eaten up by whatever happened. It's her problem. You tried to make peace. You can't force her to forgive. Let it go. It's her problem at this point.

You are right in thinking she should not hold a grudge against you. It is hard to learn that true caring or love is a gift that is given feely and you cannot expect people to treat you the same way. Just be thankful you have a chance to share the love you have with others as Jesus would want you to.

Everyone makes mistakes and everyone has bad days. Christians are supposed to be better than that regardless but we all know that it is sometimes not the truth. If she chooses not to forgive you that is her choice. YOU did the right then and asked forgiveness and apoligized, what happens after that is up to them.

christians are often times filled with self righteousness. Dont worry about them
As long as you have forgiven, it doesnt matter what she does. Though it would be great if she does, but any harm done she does to her self.
It also does depend on what happened I guess.
good luck

By forgiving someone, you too must forget and love the person even with whatever their faults may be
