I suggest direct experimentation. Prepare measured samples of lime juice adulterated with varying degrees of tequila. You may wish to preserve these samples by mixing in crushed ice. Ingest and report on the toxic effects, if any. Have witnesses to corroborate your findings and make sure you get home in one piece.
