My boyfriend broke up with me a little over a month ago. I still have feelings for him, but i havent ever really talked to anyone about how i really feel about him. Would talking with a girlfriend help in the process of getting over him?

Yes, it does. I sank into depression when my ex of 4 years got married last week. I didn't want to talk at first, since it seems totally useless, or so it seems. But then a few guy colleagues got me talking and they do offer some very good advice. And I felt better after letting it all out. At least, it doesn't hurt that much after that, knowing there's someone there to support you.

Some people think so--personally, I think it just stirs it up again. The way to get over someone is to wish them well. Seems odd, but doing pushes you in the direction of accepting the life the way it is now, as opposed to being stuck wishing for the way things were.

The truth is, your life is how it's supposed to be in this moment, and your life works quite well without him in it. Wish him well and move on.

If they are a quality friend, meaning one that cares and is supportive. Otherwise dont bother, and dont expect a little chat to make everything all better. Healing takes time.

Talking about it or even writing about it in a journal or something of that nature can help a lot.

yeah, i'd talk to someone about it, or just get the feelings out somewhere, even if you just write them out in a blog or on paper...
