I have long hair and I do this: use a volumizer on your wet hair. Get your scalp and the rest of your hair. make sure you choose a good one so theres no residue or stickyness. (Try Big Sexy Hair or Volumous) You have to know how much to use on your kind of hair. Blow dry with your head upside down. Tease (really tease) with a pick sections of your hair underneath twoards your scalp in 2 inch sections. Spray each section. Let dry. then go to next one. brush your top layer so its smooth. If it still looks like a bee hive, keep brushing until you get your desired look. If you have to, go through the bottom layer you teased and tame those down too. Not just the top. You should have teased enough to still have lift. and the volumizer should work well. Spray all throgh sections of hair. Flip head upside down and hair spray. tease the ouside, spray again let dry. Flip it and brush it again. It takes patience!

Use a volumizer at the roots or a mousse. Dry your hair upside down to set the roots 'off' and give a lift. Use a hair spray to hold the lift.

Use a root lifter and mousse on the rest and then blow dry your hair upside down. You could try a diffuser also.

Gutz by Redken. Just spray in while at the roots when your hair is wet & the just blow dry pulling up to give more volume. I love it!!!:)

if your at home you could try spraying some water on the top of your head then put your head down and blow dry it. that usually gives me more volume.
