Don't bath your cat. In general you shouldn't bath your cat (it's not a dog) and certainly not now - the kittens know their mommy by her smell/sent and if you lather, rinse, repeat, you're just gonna create confusion.

You want to 'take' your cat a bath? What the heck is that? Take the bath where? And why would you give your cat a bath for fleas? Have you ever heard of Advantage? Ask the vet. Or the pet store. Or a groomer. Why would you want to put your cat through that kind of stress after she just had kittens? You know what? I think you should not have a cat. Or, you should be asking someone who LOVES them - which you just did! - and LISTEN!

no not until she is starting the weaning process, see if you bathe her her nipple scent will leave, there is a specifically scented oil that secretes from a nursing mothers nipples that help guide the kittens to them and if you were to bathe her the scent would leave and no matter how hard you tried to get them to suckle they will refuse, and don't worry once the kittens are weaned you can take them to the vet and get them flea dipped with a certain shampoo that was created specifically for young kittens who had gotten fleas from their mother and also the fleas wont hurt them that bad, they are probably already used to them if the mother had fleas when she gave birth to them...and also another reason as to why you should bathe her when she is trying to wean her kittens is that the moment that scent is gone they will try to search for other means of nutrition and that will help the process for the kittens to switch from mom to soft canned food or the choice of food that you wish to raise them on...

Don't bath her, buy some frontline or advantage from the vet, you can treat her with this and it will control the fleas on the kittens. It lasts for a month and is a spot on treatment.

I'm gonna go with ask a vet to be sure....I probably wouldn't want to bathe her especially if the kittens are only a week or 2 old....because I would be fearful of any reaction the kittens might have to the chemicals used in the 'shampoos'...and i'd definately say NO to products like advantage or any other until AFTER they are no longer nursing...try this site...I've asked her tons of ?'s and she takes in lost or abandoned kittens ...it's
