I`m looking for a high quality general purpose fixed blade knife. Any ideas as to what brand i should look at? Price is not really an issue but it needs to work well, look good and last long. I`m favouring Hittori`s camp knife at the moment to give you some idea. Advice is appreciated.

I'd look at Buck knives. With a wide variety and great performance, you can't go wrong. Go to www.buckknives.com

You want the "Rolex" of knives, buy a Randall. Your children will hand it down to their children and it will still look like new.. You did say price was not really an issue, right?
