We the surfers of cyber world meet with so many people every day. Surfing the net is the best pastime one can ever develop, as internet has the most knowledge, a surfer will never have to wait for a answer. The vast knowledge of cyber world is nothing as compared to the cyber society that it gives. Internet is a community but so vast that we need a place to make conversation easy. What more can be better than a chat room for this purpose, well a chat room and a message board along with a forum is the best combination really. I was actually looking for a place where we can find all these things with a profile and photo brouse option. Finally I got this site, this place is a very nice community where we can share every thing online. And also about the leader board, I must tell it is great. The thought of the leader board is unique, as not to many people has thought about this thing. And the method of getting the leader is very different and one must check out this site once. The cyber culture is growing, and it is about time that we find our club and that to a very different club, which is not a part of any big website house like the yahoo and google. This site am talking about has every thing that a cyber surfer ever wants. This is the website address, http://www.friendscyberclub.com/ Features of this site is: 1) chatting 2) view profiles and photos 3) upload your photos and make a cool profile. 4) your message board 5) forum 6) See your name on the leader board. There are also many more features available in the site, free to join.

Speaking for myself, yes, all Christians are closed-minded.
It's not a matter of who you associate with, or your levels of tolerance to people of other faiths.
It's a matter of being so blinded into believing what you are preached, without any regard for questioning it along the way.
Case in point - the Gospels all tell the story of the resurrection. But in each book, they are vastly different. So which one is right?
One might argue that they were written at different times, by different people... SO what ? Is it not supposed to be an account of things that happened as they happened?
Yet each book is different.
OK, here's another example.
When Christ was crucified, the ceremony also afforded 2 others on crosses. To one of these men, Jesus said "Today you will be with me in Paradise."
But -- Jesus decended into hell, and on the third day rose.
So, Jesus was not in Paradise that day.
I will close with one more.
When you die, do you believe you go to heaven?
And here's why I ask - because most Christians think that they either go to heaven or hell.
But if you actually read your Bible and study it, you'll see with little effort that in Revelations, He will come again to judge both the living and the dead.
So here's my question there - if He is coming to judge both the living AND the dead.... How does that make sense? If you're dead, you have already either gone to Heaven or Hell, and therefore do not need re-judging.

THese are just a few of the things that the average Christian can not explain, and in my experience typically gets a bit fired up about. As if to say to me, "how dare you question my faith??"

Well, it's my faith too, but I don't necessarily have the same closed-minded approach as many other Christians. There is a case to be made for both the positives and negatives of the Bible, and unless you are willing to question what you hear in church, or what you read in the Book, then you are exactly that - closed-minded.

Christians by the nature of there religion have a certain amount of percieved and real closed minded ness, but not in a negative sense. If you found a cure for cancer, and were taking pills for that and someone else said "Here drink this poison it will help your cancer?" Wouldn't you be a little closed minded about drinking the poison? But the person who's giving you the poison might think you are being closed minded. Satan tricks people into thinking all kinds of bad things about God, and Christians, and Christians and Jews will be persecuted, even to death.
Look it's happening right now in the middle east.

There are lots of open minded ones and lots of closed minded ones.

But even your religion is probably closed minded to a degree. You don't baptize babies, do you! Many other religions do so their souls can go to heaven if they die in childhood. I see no reason not to baptize immediately and then again as an adult when they seek the spirit with willful desire.

Do you Baptise babies, because many of the general Baptist faith do not!

Is that not a closed minded view, when other Christian religions do it as an insurance policy. A baby needs the holy sprit as much as an adult. Especially since they may face crib death prior to learning to speak and think.

When you say: It HAS to be THIS WAY, then the door is closed. The issue is not up for debate or interpretation. It becomes rule.

yea, because christianity doesn't add to your spirituality, it holds you back. It gives you restrictions. You think you get help from God and you don't see that you can help yourself. You try and lead a good Christian life the way God wants you to but you don't find who you really are, you're a sheep a follower. You'll never reach your true potential as a human being until you understand that. I don't have a better answer for you, I would never try to change someone's mind about their beliefs. I wish that I could have faith in something the way Christians do but the fact is that I can't believe in a myth with no evidence to back it up. Sorry I know this wasn't the answer you were looking for. btw i was raised a christian and just decided to change my mind when I grew up and learned to think for myself so please don't tell me that I'm ignorant, stupid or close minded. I'm not an athiest either.

It's the nature of belief that you believe to be true what you believe, so obviously anyone who believes anything strongly is going to clash with people with opposing views. However, although Christians should talk about Jesus and God, we should not judge other people, because that is better left to God. The world would be a better place if everyone respected the rights of others to have their own beliefs. It's called free will, and being closed minded doesn't change the reality.

No, I don't think all Christians are closed minded. But there's a very small percentage that will actually try to learn something about another religion rather than perpetuate lies. My best female friend is very much a Christian, but she's one of the most open mided people I know.

Your not, I believe that I am very open minded. I try to respect peoples feelings, and opinions.
I am not sure that I would date someone from another religion because of being unequally yoked, if I was single.
But I have friends of all walks of life. We respect each other. We laugh and cry and live life together.

I must say though, that I am very strong in my walk with the Lord, not swayed by every wind of doctrine. That is very important, to know what and why you believe what you believe.

No, only the extremists.

Extreme followers of any major religion are, by their very nature, close-minded. Their belief system is so deeply rooted that it extends beyond their own, or their families, lives. These extremists value their religion over any life. This is how religious leaders influence power over suicide bombers, anti-abortionists, terrorists etc.

Before I get flamed, I am not a racist; I am talking about organised religion NOT religious faith. People who use others faith to manipulate them should be reviled not celebrated.

Christians are no more closed minded than any other faith we are sure we have the right way and naturally NWT to share that with others but that does not mean we can't be friends with all. I was ready to marry a Muslims man until I realized he did not know about his own faith and was so keen to get me to convert I had to investigate for myself I was not convinced. many Muslims have told me its the same God but will say what the Qumran tells then admit they do not follow it ( looking for sex partners in pubs, was one man). I know none of us are perfect but at least we should try and follow a faith we preach
