you have to condition your child now that "junk" food is just an occasional treat because it's not as healthy as say....milk and water and apple juice (the real stuff!)....and of course fruits and vegetables...which will help her to grow into a healthy little girl with beautiful hair, teeth, muscles and skin....you get the gist...my 4 year old see's a nutrionist due to the fact my father's side of the family and DNA lean towards the gentically overweight..so while I do not want my daughter to have the "Cosmo" idea that all woman are natural models (ya right) and get a complex...I do want her to simply know the right choices to make in food and in life...my nutrionist told my daughter she could have cut up apples with a sprinkle of cinnamon or even a small amount of peanut butter on it....or peanut butter and bread...(stay away from white bread)...and I have a hard time with this because I am not "a morning person" but she said even if she wants a leftover chicken leg...nuke it and give it to her...that's gross to me but she said it's ok...even a slice of thin pizza!!! so play around with that and with your fruits....I even get the fruitcups and rinse out the syrup....even though I am not Martha Stewart...you have to learn to be a bit inventive ..because you know how it would be to be the same old same old of anything in life!!!...hey how about a quick scrambled egg....that's the only thing my daughter hates but if it's quick and easy for you...who knows!

You might need to take those bad foods out of the family diet and cupboards. If you eat it, they want to eat it as well. My son is 2 1/2 and we limit our not so healthy snacking to when he's not around or in some cases we just stop buying the things he wants that we eat and shouldn't eat. Let's face it, at this age, they want to do whatever we do and we don't always practice what we preach in our eating habit with our kids. If you want them to eat healthy, you will need to set the example. If they just refuse, make sure they have a good children's vitamin every morning and keep trying to enforce healthy eating habits. Good luck.

my kids were like that... we turned breakfast into play time... would get cereals and make stories out of them.. kinda crazy but it worked for us...(example...take cheerios and honeycombs...clean table well.. lay them out and eat some tell your daughter things like cheerios wants to take over honeycomb land and need our help... eventually after eating a few dry suggest putting them in milk to make it easier to bite them....my kids love this.. of course alot older now.. they still play the game every now and then...) and dont forget the alphabet cereal.. great way to teach the abc and eat healthy...another good one is the choc. kind... my kids love making the milk turn to choc.. then they had to eat all the cereal up so they could drink the choc milk.. if they didnt eat the cereal the cereal would get all that great choc milk....

My daughter grew sick of toast and Cheerios too. I started making her waffles with syrup and she loved it! She also likes having bananas for breakfast. Have you tried eggs or french toast? Maybe she'd like pancakes. I think she may just need some variety! GOOD LUCK!
