Speaking as a guy imbued with flowing golden locks, I've felt an underlying scorn towards my style, if you will. My hair is well-kept, and I've been assured by other girls that they think my hair's actually nicer than theirs. (Score) Am I paranoid? Or could it be area-specific, or gender-specific? This is a pre-college standpoint.

I don't think so. I think men with long hair are very sexy. Don't ever be cornered into cutting your luscious glory!

I think you are just paranoid. There is nothing to be gained by being against guys with long hair. Personally I think it looks nice if well kept. That goes for anyone with long hair. If you aren't going to brush it, condition it or at least wash it then don't have it. If it is scraggy looking and tangled then cut it off.

In my country, Thailand, there are some guys with long hair. Prejudiced or not I do not know. It depends on the persons. If you like it long, you should feel comfortable with it, and you should not care what others think, as long as your long hair does not cause any inconveniences or danger in others' (and your) life.
One thing: just make sure it is always clean and not smelly.

No, you just imagine it. The only reason to grow long hair is non-conformity and there's no point rebelling if nobody notices, so you will imagine that it is being held against you. I'm 37 and started losing my hair at 16, so if I saw you the only emotion would be jealousy.

I dont comprehend - yet I wont date a guy with short hair -i imagine that seems too preppy - a guy with lengthy hair is appealing and masculine to me -it reminds me of Samson from the Bible he had lengthy hair and it held the flexibility of his stregnth till Delilah cut back it off - any way i have continually admired lengthy hair on a guy - My fiance has cornrows/braids and he would not seem proper with a short afro!!! LOL !! besides I loved the movie Troy because all of them had lengthy hair and that i imagine it is they way it ought to correctly be immediately!!!

People look pretty much the way they want to look. Your look speaks about you. I wouldn't hire you. But if you're just going off to college you can probably get away with the Sir Lancelot look a little longer. Bet for every ten girls who say they like it, nine are thinking you're weird.
