It's a big range---- If you are 5'5 the range is 120 -150. You should propably try to be 145! Im 5'6 (basically the same) at about the same range-was 163-167 and now I'm down to 153~!~~~~ Few more lbs to go----------- take is SLOW!!!!! the faster u loose weight the faster u will gain it right back-------------

Here is what I do!!!!!!!! First 2 weeks---forget all BREAD, RICE, PASTA, SUGAR, POTATOES......................The only carbs you should be eating is Salad (and please eat salads and some vegetables....) VITAMINS-yes---you will need them!!!!!!! Get the A-Z ones!!!!!!! about 14bucks----take one a day--------- your body will need it............

Eat chicken, meat, fish, eggs, hot dogsm bolonga, Whatever------PROTEIN Is what you need!!!!!!!!!!! (this is the atkins idea---its the only thing that helped me........
You cat eat CHEESE 2!!!!!!!! :)

After 2 weeks you will see lots of results------------Start adding fruits............!!!!!!!!!! Some sugar.........but stay off the junk food!!!!!!!!!!! Remember, it is part of life---a lifestyle!!!!!!!!!!! Not a diet............. the first 2 weeks will be hard---------but then u will see results!!!!!!!!

Try to work out at least 3 times a week--------even if not much---go walk or play sports outside at the beach or whateverrrrrrrr yo want-just move around!!!!

Also, remember-------the scale is not the answer---------muscle weights more then fat----just go by how ur clothes fit!!!!!!!!!!!!! you will feel great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Drink lots of WATER!!!!!!!!!!! (try not to drink diet pepsi , coke ,,,,,etc,,,,,) Water water Waterrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No candy!!!!!!!!!:) after 2 weeks you can add some candy n cake for "special events" ONLY!:)

I'm 5' 6" and I weigh 134 pounds. I used to weigh 160 pounds. I finally looked at the scale and thought - "I've had enough". It was hard but I really cut back and managed to lose the weight. If thats what you want to do - good luck. I don't think vitamins will help though. To be healthy, however, I take a woman's one a day. You could take one of those a day.

I don't know about the avg weight, but 120 sounds healthier. Although some people are more healthy at different weights.
If your comfortable at your weight and how you appear thats all that matter right?
Oh also I don't think there's a quick fix for weight problems, all you can do eat a healthy diet, exercise, and keep motivated and determined.

err, average weight...hard to say. for example, in america (where i live) the average is higher than the average weight in japan (a good guess no? hehe). you asked a good question i never will have the answer to.

my advice: check your BMI first? i don't know about the accuracy though. here is a website: http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/bmi/adult_BMI/metric_bmi_calculator/bmi_calculator.htm
hm, hopefully you aren't one of those women that feel horrible about their body...eating healthy and exercising daily (ritual is key here!) will keep you in shape and help you lose significant weight. you might ask, what is eating healthy? for me it'd be to at least cut out the sugars and unnecessary oils. but restaurants don't cater to that all the time. but as always each body type varies- some people have faster metabolism and some have slower ones. so know your body and treat yourself appropriately!

Weight Loss is the process of losing body weight, usually by losing fat. To achieve healthy weight loss, most experts recommend a combination of healthy eating patterns and regular physical exercise.
