Do you mean Israel?
Ancient Israel, according to the Bible, was the land granted to the Jews as their inheritance by G-d.
In modern times, the State of Israel came into being when, in 1947, the United Nations voted to partition what was then called Palestine, into two states, one Jewish and one Arab. When Israel declared it's statehood in 1948, the State of Israel came into existence.
