My boobs are still big, and I'm not breastfeeding, and I have about 10 more pounds to loose, but it seems like my hips are larger.

You can. I did. Though your hips may stay a bit wider. Some women's hips spread during pregnancy ( I was lucky enough that mine didn't, but they were wide to begin with. Child bearing hips I tell ya!)
Start off slowly. Go for walks, with your baby. Lay on the floor and "benchpress" your baby. Do squats, leg lifts, stretching while your baby is napping (I'm assuming the naps are still short and frequent). There are yoga DVDs out there that are meant for baby and Mom to do together. Start off slowly, but steadily. Don't overdo it, you are still healing. I was under my pre-pregnancy weight at 8 weeks (but I breastfed). Make sure you eat a healthy diet: Healthy 80% of the time, whatever you would like 20%. Keep taking your vitamins, even though you are not breastfeeding. Getting all your needed nutrients is key to weight loss. Congratulations on your little one, and good luck. I'm sure you will do great!

Your hips are larger because they had to spread so the baby could make it through. Unfortunately, they don't go back to where they were after the baby. Isn't nature a b****. I'd say if you only have 10 more pounds to go you are doing something right so soon after giving birth. Women who exercised before pregnancy tend to bounce back to their old shape easier than those who didn't exercise regularly before.

maybe not. Your a mother now you have to understand the changes your body went though. Some people will go back to shape some don't. I found aqua aerobics was good for me every body is different though I found when I had my daughter I went back if not better then normal but when I had the boys things
never really went back to normal. don't worry to much its still early days for you don't compare your self with what other people did as you will be different

it all depends on the genetics. I had 2 kids and no amount of exercises made me thinner. I'm still struggling with my weight, but my friend who has 4 kids went back to her pre-kids size in no time. She's thin and has a flat stomach, if you saw her you would never think she has given birth to 1 let alone 4 kids

Your body may never be exactly the same. Who cares. You're a mother now and this life you created doesn't care what you look like; This child needs care and concern not a model. You had your life to live now it's the child's turn.

I don't know first hand but I've heard that it will take anywhere from 9 months to a year for the weight off safely
for now forget about your weight and enjoy your new baby.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Just keep workin it...you put enough effort into it, and that great body will follow, it just takes time, especially after having a kid.
