He is African-American! Having a disease (Vitiligo) that attacks the pigment in your skin does not change your race! If a woman has breast cancer and has to have both breasts removed it doesn't make her a man!

Depends on the situation... but I think he wants to be called White. I think if it makes him feel better about himself to be called White then that's what people should do, the lable doesn't really matter... we are all basically the same on the inside.
