No, you don't have to buy another Windows XP Service Pack 2. You can get Service Pack 2 from Microsoft Updates:
http://www.windowsupdate.com
Did you know you can turn on automatic updates? Whever you have updates available, they will download atutomatically, follow these steps:
> Click on Start
> Right click on "My computer"
> Click on "Properties"
> Click on the tab that says "Automatic updates"
> Select "Automatic"
> Click OK
Hope these steps help you :)

No, if your copy of Windows is legal. Just open IE and go to update.microsoft.com and download the necessary updates. If SP2 doesn't appear on the list, install all available updates and go to the website again. It's a pretty big file, so I wouldn't recommend using dial-up. After you install SP2, be sure to download Windows Defender, which is a pretty good anti-spyware tool with realtime protection, and only works under SP2.

No.What you need to do first before you download sp-2 is make sure that whatever your set-up is on your computer,as far as IP and other software,it will not give you alot of headaches.Be sure before downloading you back up your info.In system restore you will have a option to that.Just in case!I had problems when I first used SP-2,I was using Yahoo.I am pretty sure they are ironing out the problems.I have not had any difficulty on the second try.Better safe than sorry,I hope the best for you.
