You are assuming that he is not speaking to a person, but you only named men of the Bible, maybe God is preparing to use a woman this time. Hang in there....

Like many of the other answers here, it's all about free will and faith. God doesn't start wars, people start wars. Hey, I spent a year in Iraq getting shot at and blown up almost every day and I came back home. I also almost lost an eye over there but didn't; and neither did any of my friends and comrades. Now if that isn't proof of miracles then I don't know what is. So do not blame God for all of this world's problems, blame the wicked people.

Well that isn't God's job, we were put in charge of this planet,God can guide us, but if he stopped everything we did free will would be a waste of time, also, do you try beieve God doesn't stop certain things? If God went around turning bullets to water, why would we need faith? Even in the bible when a war started without God's approval he would never step in to assist. God is awsome, God is forgiving, but it does not mention in the bible the words: Protective, kind, or gentle. Keep that in mind, man should not test the Lord

...why do people blame God for all the stuff that goes on down here. Look, God gave us free will, we can do anything we want. God is not going to interrupt us. If he stopped everything bad from happening, we would not be free human beings, we would be trained animals so to speak. It isn't that God doesn't frown at what's going on earth. This is a test of faith, this is a test for our souls. God knows what's going to happen, if he didn't want all this to go down, then he would have never let the serpent beguile Eve. This is how it is, this is life, God is not going to hold our hands through it. What we do here on earth will be judged. So please, stop being so ignorant and stop blaming God for the wars. God bless!

Wow. That's a lot for two points.
Israel is chosen. Genesis 12:3
God is not failing. He is in complete control.
Does God speak to us today? Certainly. No one has seen Him, fully, yet His presence is everywhere.
You ask for a miracle to end death, violence, hate & destruction.
Hold on, friend. It's going to get worse. A LOT worse.

It would do no good for him to turn bullets to water if he could not turn souls from malice and murder. Rather than ask why doesn't God rescue us from scrapes of our own making, I would ask why we still fail to realize that disobedience to His commandments is the root cause of all of our problems.

God set the world in motion, and things happen! God doesn't cause them, they just happen. Sometimes God doesn't stop them, because their are great lessons to be learned from tragedies! sometimes, we get miracles!
