I really need to go back to work but she just refuses the formula. The docotor said just try different kinds. But that can get expensive. I should've just gave her formula from the start,I wanted to do the right thing. I didn't know it would be this hard to switch her. What should I do? I've also put on some weight the docotor says just coun calories, but I also have depression & food seems to be comforting. My husband says go out and do stuff don't sit around all day, stop thinking negative all the time & I'll feel better about my self & about my other worries. Is he right? What would you suggest?

I agree with your husband, you should go out, that will definatley bring your spirits up and as for your baby not taking formula, have you tried S26, i used that on my son to ween him off the breast and it worked, but took me ages to get him off formula though!!!
It's quite expensive but worth a shot.

Join a formula club. Go to the Similac or Enfamil website. They send out $11 coupons. Try soy formula instead. Make bottle that is half Breastmilk and half formula. Increase as the day goes on. THe best way to lose weight is to breastfeed. If you're not controlling your eating habits i.e. comfort eating you need to seek support outside of your husband. Try Jenny Craig. They help with comfort eating. No diet or excersize solves that problem.

I breastfed all 3 of my kids. I've heard it helps you lose the weight faster. I worked while breastfeeding my 3rd child. I took a pump to work and pumped a bottle every couple hours, put it in a fridge or icechest, and the babysitter fed it to her while I was working the next day. Sometimes, you can also pump at night.

have you thought of expressing the breastmilk out and store them in refrigerators so your baby carer can give your milk to your baby. There are many different brands of pumps and containers for it........check them out. depression is not good, try to get yourself out of it.....do things that you like or you've always wanted to......and your hubby is right......but is he giving you enough love and support?....thats very important too to prevent depression...

i breastfeed my baby too even when i started going back to work, and my baby didnt want to take formulas too, i tried many different brands, you could get formulas in samples from clinics if you dont wan to spend too much money, thats what i did. I expressed the milk at home in the mornings and at night, so my carer feed them to my baby till i get home....you might want to try

GOOD LUCK!!

I suggest getting over yourself and be the parent you made yourself to be. This life you created needs you now. You can pump and store breast milk quite easily. Your life as you know it is done; It's now your child's turn at life.

Pump. Your milk is like fresh homemade food to your kid. Formula is like McDonald's.
