I understand 100% we all have our prefrences but when it comes down to it, love is love correct?
Yes you may prefer a certain gender and so forth, but when love is right there and the both of you feel it, why would one hold back?

No matter who it is when it's love you can't hold back. That's is how we end up dating bestfriends and so forth. Sometimes you just can't help it. Love Is Love. No color, nor face, no religion, nor race.

the different fears and emotions that go along with love would be a great place to start.
Love is throwing yourself out there, leaving yourself vulnerable to being crushed and mangled for the rest of your life if its bad enough in the end
the fear of rejection, and then not understanding that rejection, which then puts a wall up for the next time the question of love comes around
there's a ton more, but i'm no Dr. Phil, but his ideas are horrible anyway, everybody's view and take on love is different, ask your partner about love and to explain what they think about it if you want to understand them

Love is love and that is why you should have it for everyone and everything. But yeah finding that special someone to be with is sweet and so wonderful and I dont care who it is your share'n your love with as long as you do it in a loving way. Love is the most powerful force in the universe use it wisely and may all your dreams come true.

I certainly agree with where you are going with this...
However, love is so many different things to different people.
I am completely heterosexual, but sometimes I say, and mean
that I love people of my own sex.
However, YES, I agree that erotic love is erotic love, regardless
of what the genders, races or creeds involved are.

People would hold back because of what other people say, which is stupid. I've found my soul mate, and quite frankly, I don't give a damn what anybody thinks about it.
