Honey, DO NOT let what other people think stop you from doing what you want to do.
My mother would probably have a stroke if I brought home a black guy, but in the end my happiness would be all that mattered to her. I am sure that everyone would have a hard time adjusting to it, but screw everyone else. It is your life!!!!!!!!!!!! You live it the way that you want to live it. Excuse the language, but these people don't f u c k you, feed you or pay your bills. Do you see what I mean???
Me? I am a very open minded person......I do not see color!!! We all bleed the same. But, there are A Lot of prejudice people in this world. My only advice to you would be to be prepared for the complications that come along with an interracial relationship.
Good luck.

I know exactly where you are coming from. I have dated more than one black guy and my parents found out and my friends. It was pure hell. I was grounded for 2 months and all of my so called friends dumped me and won't have anything else to do with me. Even their parents don't want them around me. It has really hurt me alot. If you date a black guy, I guaranatee you that your family and friends will find out. You see, the 2 black guys I dated in my past bragged all about it to all the other black guys and everyone else. Black guys are really bad about bragging to others and especially if they are with a white girl. Be very careful because most of them will only use you. I can guarantee you that a million%. Most of them lie and mess around on you alot. Take it from someone who has been there and was very hurt. They can't seem to be loyal to no one. I haven't seen one yet that has been loyal to their girlfriends or wives. When my Mom died, a black man that I used to work with came by the house. He is a married man and A PREACHER. He has hit up on me for years. I didn't let him in the house. I just told him thank you for coming by and shut the door. I am now a grown woman and am 45 years old. I never thought I would ever date another black guy after all the heartache I went through. But I did. He was 3 years older than me. They say all the right things--things you want to hear. They have silver tongues. They will make you feel like you are the most beautiful lady in the whole world. This last relationship I had with a black guy, he had 5 other girlfriends on the side and I found out about it. I have never known or seen one faithful black guy. I am not prejudiced at all as you can see, but I guarantee you, I will never do it again. A person can only take so much hurt. Please just be careful and think about what I have told you. It has been years since I dated a black guy in high school and people still talk about it. I graduated from High School 27 years ago. People never let you live down anything. I lived in another town when I dated the last black guy. No one in my family found out about that one. Good luck and I will be thinking about you alot.

Man, just do it and who cares what people think, who knows maybe you'll find the man of your dreams! Don't be stuck up just because your family is. Being worried about what they think is as bad as thinking bad about it. This is 2006, people are people, not a color.

Of course! Race shouldn't matter in a relationship. You should just let people know that you don't believe in racism and dont approve of basing a relationship on race.

I have thought about it. I never have, though because I have only had black men come on to me too strong.

I think about it everyday, I think that black people are individuals and they deserve a chance like everyone else.

Be sure that is what you want, since your family and friends are obviously racist. You may lose alot.
