Koran (9:11) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.

I am not familiar with the Koran. I was sent this passage by a friend...just wondering if there is any truth in it. Thanks in advance for your help!!

This is an e-hoax. For all those who are reading this, pls be aware of Quranic translations especially on websites. A lot of them are hoax and written so as to turn us away from our releigon or keep people away from our reliegon.

This is wrttten in 9:11

But if they repent, performm As-Salat and give Zakat, then they are your brethren in religion. (In this way) We explain the Ayat (proofs, evdidenes, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) in details for a people who know.

This is only for your information. The start of Surah Tauba was reevealed at the time when the Quraish of Mecca broke the Treaty of Hudabia with the Muslims. Some of these Ayats are revealed in times of war.

This is one of those made-up things that gets sent around in order to rile people up.

I mean really, I don't think the Koran has passages like the Bible does, and the chapter/verse of 9:11 sould give it away as a fake.

It's as fake as the Nostradamus verse about the great birds crashing into the two pillars. (There's no verse involving either of those things.)

I just love it when people pass stupid things around on the Internet and claim that they are TRUE!
Thank you for looking a little bit further.

No, that is not in the Koran (or Quran) the verse you cited is actually:
"But even so, if they repent,
establish regular prayers,
and practice regular charity,
they are your Brethren in Faith
thus do we explain the signs in detail,
for those who understand.

So the verse you cited seems to indicate that Christians and Muslims are Brethren in faith, not supposed to be enemies as evildoers would have you believe.

I remember somebody speaking about koran 9:11, and I looked into the koran, and NO, that's not what's written there, and as far as I've read it, I have never seen anything similar in the koran.

That is no where in the entire Qur'an.

Chapter 9, verse 11:
"But (even so), if they repent, establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, - they are your brethren in Faith: (thus) do We explain the Signs in detail, for those who understand."

I commend you for asking this question, rather than just accepting what you were sent.

If you ever want to verify any verses of the Qur'an again, please feel free to check out the link I have sent you.

The Qur'an was revealed in Arabic and it has been translated to many many languages for millions to comprehend. One of the best English translations is by Abdullah Yusuf Ali. This is what I have linked for you.

Well someone finally looked in Koran to see if there is something like this written in KORAN(9:11)! I have all sorts of Holy Scripts from Bible to Koran in my Palm Pilot I do recommend you all have one too for such lame claims.

In Koran (9:11) it says:
" If they repent and establish the prayer and pay the charity, they shall become your brothers in the religion. So we make plain OUR verses for people to understand."

War brings MISERY no matter who brings it ALLAH/GOD/YEHOVA or EAGLE!

I have the Koran in my lap, turned to Surah 9--Repentance, verse 11, and I see nothing in there about an eagle. It says:
"If they repent and take to prayer and render the alms levy, they shall become your brothers in faith. Thus do We [the Angels] make make plain Our revelations to men of knowledge."

I tried looking up eagle in the index, and birds, and got nothing like this...

This is not true. If there is anything in the Koran like this, it was probably taken out of context. It is an Urban Legend.

Surah 9:11 in the Koran (Qur'an) states:

But (even so), if they repent,
Establish regular prayers,
And practise regular charity -
They are your brethren in Faith:
(Thus) do We explain the Signs
In detail, for those who
understand.

Yeah, that's right. Then it goes on to say in 9-12 "There shall be a bimbo ditz who shall believe anything the oligarchy feeds her, and her breath shall smell like poop, her teeth will fall out, and she will be a virgin who is given to some equally disgusting pig in heaven along with 71 other virgins."
Let's all make up some insulting things about the beliefs of others.
I hope this is helpful.
