Paul aims to show that all humanity is in a desperate plight and requires God's special intervention if it is to be saved.
The wrath of God: God's reaction to human sinfulness, an Old Testament phrase that expresses the irreconcilable opposition between God and evil (see Isaiah 9:11, 16, 18, 20; 10:4; 30:27).
With love in Christ.

While God does hate every kind of sin, He does love every individual person more than we can ever image. That's why Jesus came to earth-to show His love and to die for our sins on the cross (1 Peter 2:24). "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."(Romans 5:8) He wants to change our lives so that we will become like Him.
If you are gay, God wants you to know that He does love you! At the same time, He doesn't love the sin you are participating in. The act of homosexuality is sin, just as there are many other sins listed in the Bible. Everyone has sinned against God (Romans 3:23). Jesus was called "the friend of sinners" because He ate with prostitutes, but He never participated in their deeds (Luke 7:34). His love is what changed their lives. Romans 2:6 says that the kindness of God leads us to a changed life. God's love is so powerful that it can radically change our hearts-so we will want to stop committing sexual acts that displease Him. Jesus Christ is our only hope for a changed life.

Romans 1:18 means GOD Wrath against mankind, that refer to non-christians. GOD saves the world but those against GOD will be punish. GOD hates Sin, but HE save the Sinner by HIS own Blood on the cross. GOOD question sister. GOD Bless u. From sister Andrea.

God’s love for the world does not mean that He will ignore sin. God is also a God of justice (2 Thessalonians 1:6). Sin cannot go unpunished forever (Romans 3:25-26).

The passage says that God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who push the truth away from themselves. Homosexuals aren't the scum of the earth, they are just sinners like every other sinner on earth, you can't quantify sin, sin is sin and it all results in seperation from God.

This is what Scripture says. God's wrath (anger) is revealed against all ungodliness of men (sin, evil).
It isn't saying they are the scum of the earth. It is saying that if they don't repent, they will be eternally punished in Hell forever (well, they'll be in Hell til the Great White Throne Judgement, and then they'll be pulled out of Hell long enough to be judged and thrown into the Lake of Fire to be tormented forever (see Revelation 20 and 21).
This isn't singling out homosexuals, altho' it mentions them and their behavior (their sin).
All men who haven't embraced and obeyed Jesus and His Gospel of forgiveness and repentance from sin will be in that place as well (and they won't be partying, they won't recognize or be able to talk to any of their friends), . . . not just homosexuals.
Homosexuality is just another sin [well, it's not just another sin, it's pretty evil and sick, and God finds it incredibly wicked, but one doesn't go to Hell for being a homosexual, but for not turning from sin and being forgiven] . .
everyone else who refuses to repent also has God's anger revealed from Heaven against them (those who molest children, those who push Darwinian lies and refuse to give God the proper glory He deserves, those who steal, those who murder and those who are basically good moral people (in your view and mine), but are still sinners (they have sinned) and haven't embraced the free gift of forgiveness that God offers through Christ [and thus they make a mockery of His death on the cross and His perfect sacrifice - God is justifiably angry when His Son is mocked . . and He will repay those who mock Him . .
But, it [homosexuality] is a sin [and sinful lifestyle], which, if one continues in it and refuses to turn away from it and give it up, they will go where we all deserve to go.
". . wanting to control your life"?????. . Umm. . He's God!!
the whole message of the Bible is "I'm God and you're not"
You need some understanding of history for context. Heck, you need more than that, but some understanding of history would help you a lot to realize what the word "King" means. . and what the word God means.

YES your right. That would be if you don't repent and do your part as a christian. That's why He died right for your sin, so you have to let go of that sin. Some people treasure their sin. He loves us and He wants us to go to Him and be like Him. Everyone has their own limitations that's why there is judgment day. Hope I helped you.

Originally he was agains homosexuality, it was going against his design so he did destroy sodom and gamorrah(sp?), he did a lot of things he later apologized for and promised never to do again. So yes he hates the sin, not the sinner. Its just like if you went against your parents, do you think they would hate you? no of course not, they just hate what you did.
